The Bodybuilding Chicago Pro

The Bodybuilding Chicago Pro is a B with the goal to promote a drug-free world in which all athletes compete on an equal playing field. This competition was born in Tinley, Illinois, and helps athletes keep up with the science behind their practice by promoting clean sport. This event is open to all athletes, ages 18 and up, who are currently competing in their first or second division of the NPC National Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship.

Competitors who are competing at the highest level of their sport are also eligible to enter. Bodybuilding Chicago Pro is an opportunity for athletes of all levels to compete against athletes in a drug-free sport and create a supportive environment where they can improve their skill, knowledge and overall performance.

The Tinley Park Convention Center in Tinley, Illinois, hosted the 2022 Chicago Pro on July 22-23, 2022. Men’s Open, 212 Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Bikini, Women’s Bodybuilding, Figure, Fitness, Women’s Physique, and Wellness competitors competed for a chance to compete in Mr. Olympia in December.

The 2022 bodybuilding season has begun, with athletes from all around the world exhibiting their physiques in the hopes of securing a coveted invitation to Mr. Olympia this winter. The 2022 Olympia will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from December 15th to December 18th.

The 2022 Chicago Pro concluded with a number of victors being crowned and earning invitations to the 2022 Olympia. Check out the following results and official scorecards:

Men’s Open

This weekend, 13 athletes will compete in the Men’s Open class in the Chicago Pro. Antoine Vaillant of Canada is back in action after finishing second to Iain Valliere at the 2022 Vancouver Pro. Valliere chose not to compete this weekend after securing his Olympia qualification with a win in Vancouver. Vaillant will face a challenging array of competitors as he attempts to earn his invitation to Olympia this winter.

Hunter Labrada won the Chicago Pro last year, but he will not defend his title this weekend because he earned his Olympia qualifying with a fourth-place finish at the 2021 Mr. Olympia contest last year, which means a new winner will be chosen at this event.

Andrea Muzi, a bodybuilder, is anticipated to push Vaillant on stage. In May, he finished fourth at the 2022 California State Pro, which was won by champion Charles Griffen. Then finished fourth at the 2022 Puerto Rico Pro, which was won by Hassan Mostafa.

Muzi brought his greatest package to the Toronto Pro Supershow a week later and finished third. Muzi has been busy this year, finishing second at the 2022 Mr. Big Evolution show in Portugal. Muzi will almost certainly qualify for Olympia if he continues to rack up points by placing high at numerous shows.

Antoine Valliant won gold at the end of the competition, earning him an entry to the Olympics later this year.

212 Bodybuilding

Many supporters were rooting for Peter Castella going into the event. Last year, he competed in two IFBB Pro League shows. Castella raced in the 2021 Indy Pro and finished 11th. The bodybuilder finished seventh at the 2021 New York Pro before calling it a season.

This weekend also saw the return of Dectric Bo Lewis. He brought increased muscular separation and a better package than last year. The bodybuilder rose to prominence in 2021 after finishing second at the New York Pro. Dectric Bo Lewis was victorious after a tense struggle on stage.

Classic Physique

Tommy Clark is a well-known figure in the IFBB’s Classic Physique division. Last year, he set a new standard for himself by competing in seven shows. He honed his preparations after his first four contests and won the 2021 Lenda Murray Atlanta Pro Classic Physique title. As a result of this triumph, he qualified for Olympia and finished second at the Kentucky Muscle Pro before finishing 16th at the 2021 Olympia.

Jonathan T. Pelkey took on Tommy on stage this weekend. His well-balanced physique and impressive midsection have always made him a threat at any performance. He finished seventh at the 2021 Chicago Pro last year and was determined to improve on that performance. In the end, Jonathan T. Pelkey avenged himself from last year by winning the 2022 Chicago Pro.
