A Safe and Affordable Weight Loss Program

Initial visit includes:

• All program materials and documentation, a screening Physical Examination by one of our board certified physicians;
• Lab studies, EKG for the nominal fee of $150;
• After the initial visit you return on a walk in basis on either a weekly or bi-weekly basis to monitor progress and provide guidance toward further success with our program;
• The SHS program requires a visit one a week. The weekly visit fee is $30. We encourage you to come once a week but, we understand that may not be always possible. Please ask our staff about our bi-weekly option. The bi-weekly fee is $60;
• Each visit you can choose whether to use the one or two week option;
• After successful loss of weight (desired goal), Monthly visits during maintenance period of observation - for up to 3 months;
• Second family member discount: one per family - immediate family only. Selected family member receives weekly visits at half price while both are on the program.

We quite often throughout the year offer specials or discounts that are published on these pages. Only one discount can be applied at a time. Except - Weight loss like so many other things in life is better as a team. If you start with a friend or family member - you can both use the coupon AND each of you will also get an additional $10 off of the exam fee. (you must tell our receptionists at the time you make the appointment)

About Insurance

Historically, Insurance and benefit programs (Medicare/Medicaid/Tricare) have not paid for medical weight loss excluding the diagnosis of obesity as a covered condition. However, this is changing.

Last year the American Medical Association classified obesity as a disease. Since then - Medicare has offered some very limited services via your primary care provider. And most recently, quite a few of our patients have submitted their detailed receipts to their insurance carriers - especially Anthem Blue Cross and now Aetna - and have either had their charges applied to their deductibles or have been reimbursed for charges for our services. So, while we do not directly accept or process insurance claims. Please, check with your carrier to see if our services are able to be covered under your particular plan. This is a new change to the landscape of coverage for medical weight loss. and it is possible that we will consider accepting and filing your claims in the future.
